Why is Ricol the starter for you and not Becher? Becher has a proven track record in USL League 1, while Ricol has a goal that was a gift to him against Sarasota? If you want a holding/false 9 vibe up top, Becher is the starter you want. Bigger body, better hold up, wins aerial battles and duels better, and proven he can score as well…

You could probably go with either to start depending on the match. What I like about Ricol is his ability to press defenders. Becher drops more into the midfield to receive the ball and distribute (kind of like his goal in Sarasota). What I don't know is whether Becher is that high-press guy, or if Ricol is better suited for that role. Right now, we're playing with two big bodies up top and relying on the wingbacks to provide the pace. If the wingbacks don't arrive, we lack a bit of pace through the central channels. I like a big body at the 9, playing next to someone who can run off the ball and create chances with pace. Becher and Ricol on the pitch at the same time means Jack Thomas or Taig Healy are critical for creating chances and dictating our attack in the final third. Something to watch for MD4 for sure.
